| All the World’s a Stage |
I started doing community theatre in the summer of 2000, as a way of reconnecting with an avocation that was brimming with wonderful memories from my past (during high school). Since re-embarking in my theatrical pursuits, I’ve been in 20+ shows (operas, musicals, comedies, etc.), met many wonderful people, learned a lot, enjoyed playing to a live audience, and I have never regretted that I have found a way to make theatre a part of my life once again.
In a show, I work hard at learning my music (there is usually music) and dialog. I manage to get “off book” quite quickly, blessed with a solid memory. My classes in voice acting lend me great help in delivering lines in a natural style while still tapping into an array of emotions. My vocal experience, once strictly choirs, has evolved to include opera, music hall, and modern musical style. I’ve performed as part of a chorus and also performed solos, duets, trios, quartets, quintets, sextets, septets, etc.
