“Scrooge”

Nov-Dec, 2007

at SVCT

This musical adaptation of the classic Dickens tale “A Christmas Carol” was first seen in 1970 as a film, starring Albert Finney as Ebenezer Scrooge (whom I absolutely adored in that role). It was recently revived as a stage musical which toured England and played at London’s Dominion Theatre. With six new songs not performed in the film. Bring the family, and enjoy a new take on the favorite holiday classic.

I’m delighted to be playing the role of Ebenezer Scrooge

Just a Note
I’m finding Scrooge to be an “emotionally taxing” part to rehearse. Playing this role is touching onto various parts of my own life and memory that are difficult to confront. I guess catharsis starts inside the actor. I hope you’ll find some, too.
